Multicultural Projects funded by William Morris Big Local
Between August and December 2019, nine community projects were funded – from Asian poetry events and skate jams to Christmas parties and Pantomimes reaching over 1,100 attendees and participants.

Community Chest grant schemes launched
The three Community Chest grant schemes included funding for outdoor spaces, community projects and local economy. Thanks to the schemes we were able to funding a total of 43 local activities and projects from arts and crafts to sports clubs and street parties.

Multicultural showcase
To launch our multicultural grants scheme we hosted a showcase of some of the many different people living in Walthamstow through song, dance, poetry and music. With over 100 attendees and 25 different performers it created a lasting message of unity and community strength.
