Explore, Find and Shop Local with the new Discover Local map, commissioned by WMBL and designed by Angry Dan.
September 2024 sees the launch of our Discover Local Trail, a fun journey to 12 local independent businesses brought to life by a new fun map of the area created by Angry Dan. We are challenging local people to visit all 12 destinations and collect a stamp from each to complete a Trail Passport which you can either download or collect from one of the participating businesses. If you send us your completed passport in time you will be entered into a prize draw with a chance to win a signed print of the map and/or a voucher to spend at one of the local businesses.
Grab a copy of the Trail Passport and complete it by the 30th September 2024 to be entered into our prize draw!

As part of this Discover Local initiative we were delighted to secure the services of local artist Angry Dan to create a map of the area dedicated to local independent business. Known for his Walthamstow map and now his epic map of London, Dan found the time to create this fun and unique view of the William Morris Big Local area.
Angry Dan shared his excitement about the project: “Creating the map was a fantastic way to highlight the hidden gems of our community. It’s a visual celebration of local independent businesses and entrepreneurship. It also gave me some good practice for creating my new map of London!”
We wish everybody fun and good luck on the Discover Local Trail and hope that everyone can enjoy discovering or rediscovering some of our great local independent businesses!
