**Update, 2 April 2020: we’ve just launched a new version of our Community Chest fund, in response to the coronavirus pandemic. See below for more details.**
Based on what local people have told us that they want for the area, we have three main aims:
- Improving outdoor spaces
- Strengthening the community
- Supporting enterprise
We have grants available for large and small projects that share these aims, and will happen within the William Morris ward of Walthamstow. Our grant schemes which are currently open for applications are:
Community Chest: Coronavirus Response: up to £1,000 for community groups who are helping others during the current pandemic, and activities that help keep people, healthy, happy and connected.
Green Grants: up to £1,000 to make small scale improvements to outdoor spaces.
Big Green Grants: up to £30,000 match funding for projects that provide a greening transformation.
Big Active Grants: up to £50,000 to encourage people to connect to and participate more with our outdoor spaces.
Multicultural Grants: up to £500 for interfaith events, celebrations, mini-festivals and cultural learning events which strengthen community ties.
Enterprise: our grants for businesses are administered through UnLtd, an organisation which supports social enterprise – contact firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more.Share This
